It offers a long list of innovations not found in other vehicles.  The 2011 Prius delivers industry-leading fuel economy. Toyota increased engine size and power while improving fuel economy to an EPA-estimated 51 mpg city/48 mpg highway. Toyota engineers also made the new Prius quieter, roomier and better-equipped with four driving modes. The Prius offers steering wheel touch controls, a moonroof with solar panels, and Intelligent Parking Assist.
 
Comfort & Convenience

Prius owners will discover a wealth of features that make driving more enjoyable for short and long distances. A Touch Tracer Display features sensors on the steering wheel to reduce driver eye movement for better concentration on the road.  Other items on most models include automatic air conditioning with electric motor, AM/FM/MP3 CD player with six-speakers, driver door Smart Key system with Push Button Start and remote illuminated entry.

A Multi-Informational Display monitors energy usage and fuel consumption. Other items include a six-way adjustable driver seat, power door locks, auto up/down on all windows with window jam protection, cruise control, tilt/telescopic adjustable steering wheel with audio and HVAC controls, color-keyed foldable power heated side mirrors, dual sun visors with vanity mirrors and tonneau cover.  Also available is a sliding glass moonroof with solar panels that power the ventilation system. An optional remote air-conditioning system functions on battery-power alone and allows drivers to cool the interior before entering the car.

Safety

All Prius models offer Toyota's Star Safety System. This package includes enhanced Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control Systems, Anti-lock Brake System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist. Other standard features include electric power steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
